STORY
You opened your eyes, but nothing could be seen.
Suddenly, one string of dim light shone through the darkness.
As you followed the light of hope, it slowly turned from azure to crimson.
Once again, your consciousness faded away…

You opened your eyes, and found yourself in the middle of nowhere.
A mysterious girl, with her monotonous tone, spoke of various confusing matters.
Safe House. Purpose. Erosion. Death.
The only way to grasp the truth is to hold on the black sword of yours,
and fight against “This World,” no matter the consequences…

BALANCE CHANGES
Player level cap increased to 999. (Note: Elemental resistance will no longer increase after level 100.)
Player Max HP and Max SP caps increased to 9999. HP Recovery and SP Recovery caps increased to 200.
CASUAL / ASSISTED adjustment: Stone of Chaos and Quartz of Chaos now summon enemies less frequently.
Puppet Shadow transformation mechanism changed from transforming into Monster Girls from the current floor to transforming into random Monster Girls.
Time required for Reaper to appear in Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 increased.
Stone of Chaos and Quartz of Chaos will no longer summon Puppet Shadow (enemies that transform into Monster Girls).
Shimmering Afterglow will no longer be consumed when reaching the Throne Room.
The teleport circle in Safehouse now allows teleportation to specific fixed maps in Chapter 6 (unlocked after meeting specific conditions for each map).
Accessories and Essences dropped on the map after Boss battle victories will now be automatically collected into the player’s Inventory.

NEW FEATURE
Casual Mode Added. In this mode, you can annihilate every single enemy with your significantly buffed Cursed Sword Skills for almost infinite use.
A mirror is added in the Arena. You can use the mirror to lower the difficulty or change your name whenever you like.
After loading the save file where you defeated the Chapter 6 Boss, you can now teleport to Beyond the Chaos through the magic circle.

BALANCE CHANGES
The old Casual Mode is now renamed to ASSISTED Mode.
Erosion will now increase slower in Assisted Mode.
Souls required to perform Low-Class Forging, High-Class Forging and Precise Forging adjusted.
Low-Class Forging buffed.
Skewer will now sell more accessories as the story progresses.
Requirements to obtain Potion Pouch adjusted.
Essences significantly adjusted. You will now more likely to inherit better parameters through Essences.

BUG FIXES
[INVESTIGATING] FIxed the bug where cutscenes in the beginning of Chapter 6 may cause the game to crash.
Steam achievements may not be triggered correctly.
An error message “checkSound” appears, causing the game to crash.
You may create residues when moving under certain circumstances.
You may spawn underwater or in the hole when triggering Distort traps.
You or certain objects may disappear shortly when Deviless uses the Skill Demonic Pursuit.

v1.03
In this update, we focused on increasing the chance of items appearing. This is to encourage players to try crafting more weapons, use Skills and more against hordes of enemies.
On the other hand, we tried some adjustments on every ones’ least favorite boss in Chapter 3, as well as restricting the number of enemies on specific areas and some more difficulty tweaks.
More balance changes are on the way, and we’ll keep tracking if there are any game-breaking bugs. Thank you!

Note: About 6 hours ago, we released v1.03 early. After discovering a game-disrupting bug, we immediately return the game back to v1.02.
The bug is now identified and fixed. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

GAME BALANCE CHANGE
Hardcore: Enemies now drop items more often. You can obtain more special Souls.
You can now obtain more Shimmering Afterglow once per death.
Several potions from Rezia are now cheaper.
Horizon Lights in fixed maps now respawn when you revisit the maps.
Randomly-generated maps now have more chance of spawning Ore Piles.
Enemies’ position adjusted in fixed maps in Chapter 6.
More Ore Piles are prone to spawn in fixed maps in Chapter 6.
Bonfires added in fixed maps in Chapter 6 for Erosion reduction.
More map objects are prone to spawn in randomly-generated maps in Chapter 6.
Elemental chests are now more likely to drop high-tier items.
Extremely distorted floors now have less enemies.
Now after defeating a certain number of enemies in extremely distorted floors, a reward will appear on the map.
Vortexs on Ground now knock player back up to 2 times in one sequence.
Enemies will now show alert icons again once you are out of Stealth state.
Chest Shadows will now always drop highest-tier elemental stones.
Noble Joes’ defense decreased. Chance of dropping an item increased.
Noble Knights’ defense decreased.
Items added at the outpost before the boss battle in Chapter 3.

Fixed the bug where when entering extremely distorted floors, there is a chance that you will spawn underwater.
Fixed the bug where Noble Joes aren’t affected by Poison when running away.
Fixed the bug where when Lady Fencer is preparing her Skill Transpierce, the AoE doesn’t appear correctly.
Fixed the bug where when materials thrown explode, your attack will drop to 0 temporarily.
Fixed the bug where Tentacles will still attack you even when they are inflicted with Friendly state.
Fixed the bug where your Souls won’t decrease when you let go of the body.

Fixed the bug where reentering buildings will cause the Horizon Lights to respawn.
Fixed the bug where enemies can spawn inside the walls, causing the game to softlock.

OTHERS
The game now supports Steam cloud save.
(When using cloud save, please make sure both devices are using the same version of the game with the same contents.)
Fog effects adjusted.
There are now some hints hidden on the map in the boss battle in Chapter 3.
You can now listen to all Doroelle’s hint about the bosses when losing to them by selecting Check more hints.
Specific memories now don’t need to be read to trigger ANOTHER END.

Fixed the bug where certain actions will cause the game to softlock in the tutorial.
Fixed the bug where the game will crash showing an error message “checkDead” under certain circumstances.
Fixed the bug where when enemies are preparing Skills with AoE, using Stone of Metamorphosis and changing their shapes will leave the AoE alert active.

In this update, game-breaking bugs are fixed, and we try to reward players for crafting and breaking new weapons by buffing the Scraps and Essences, and add more ways to obtain powerful items.
