The year is 2079, a near-future where humanity has shattered the boundaries of genetic engineering.
Under the guise of finding cures for incurable diseases, Stardust Biotech secretly initiated top-secret experiments with the “T-7 Symbiote”—aiming to create the ultimate “super-soldiers” by fusing human cells with extraterrestrial DNA.
When the experiment spiraled out of control, the symbiote began consuming its hosts, mutating humans into mindlessly aggressive monstrosities known as “Distortions.” To cover up the catastrophe, Stardust Biotech locked down Blackrock City—the site of the research facility—and deployed mercenary units to “purge” every last survivor.
Ella’s younger sister, Leah, was a lead researcher for Stardust Biotech and the only person who knew the formula for the antidote. Just before the lockdown, she managed to transmit a distress signal to Ella—and has been missing ever since.
