The Duchy of Ariador—a nation ruled by Elves, the descendants of the Moon People. The monarch, Ariador, had managed to maintain peace despite ongoing conflicts with surrounding threats, such as the giant “Dominants” and the “Darkcrawlers” of the Hollow forces.
However, the “Calamity Moon”—a phenomenon where the moon’s protection is severed—is approaching for the first time in 500 years. It was clear that enemy forces, seeking to eradicate the Elves, were eagerly awaiting that day.
With the Calamity Moon expected to arrive at any moment, Ariador summons her most trusted vassal, Franhild, and issues a certain command.
Characters
Franhild A member of the Knights of Ariador. Her skill with a blade is unrivaled by any other knight, and her sharpened five senses elevate her combat abilities to their absolute limit. She originally served as Ariador’s maid, but she was reassigned to the Knights after her swordsmanship was recognized. Possessing a mental fortitude that does not yield to ordinary hardships, she is the very model of an exemplary knight.
Shenoa A knight of Elrica, a now-extinct nation of Night Elves. Her homeland was destroyed by the Darkcrawlers, and she has sworn revenge against the Masked Priest believed to be their leader. All Night Elves are formidable warriors; she is no exception, wielding a massive axe suited to her physique to mow down her enemies. Additionally, she is well-versed in sword techniques, having once served as a swordsmanship instructor in Elrica.
Murie Responsible for intelligence and assassination within the Knights of Ariador. Contrary to the nature of her duties, she has a cheerful personality and admires Franhild. Since her work primarily involves covert operations, she is not particularly skilled in open combat. The cloth mask she always carries serves not only to stifle her breathing for stealth but also to protect her from the foul stench of the Dominants.
Ariador The 4th Duchess of the Duchy of Ariador. She became the youngest monarch in the duchy’s history, succeeding the previous ruler who died young due to illness. Peace has long been maintained in the duchy by the sacred treasure, “The Moon’s Slumber,” and the House of Ariador bears the duty of guarding it. While she has an intellectual and graceful demeanor, the way she commands during emergencies proves her status as the leader of a nation.
