Changelog

v1.2.61
New
-Equipment tutorial: If you haven’t cleared the game yet, the game now pauses after you receive the sword and shield in the prologue and highlights the Menu button. Press it and you’ll be guided step by step through equipping your weapon and shield. The menu can’t be closed until the tutorial is finished. Playthroughs after clearing the game skip the tutorial.

Changes
-If the player and a boss go down at the same time, it now always counts as a defeat for the player. Previously, some bosses counted it as a victory.
-The countdown in the Duke’s final phase is now fixed at 160 seconds on every difficulty. Previously it was 192 seconds on Story Mode, 144 on Hard and 104 on Nightmare.
-At the end of the scene where you are conscripted and leave the village, your Red Potions are now always reset to 1, whether you watch the scene or skip it.

Fixes
-Fixed a spot in the Unexplored Dungeon where jumping showed an “Enter” prompt and teleported you to the other side of a nearby pillar.
-Fixed Dad staying outside the house after you watch the full potion conversation in the prologue, so that two Dads appeared in the village (the other one at the forest exit).
-Fixed some enemies in the Town Battle standing still after reappearing: not attacking, having no death animation, or suddenly disappearing.
-Fixed the defeat HCG sometimes failing to play when you are defeated in the Town Battle, sending you back to town instead.
-Fixed the Red Crystal Fragment dropped by “???” sometimes not being obtained, which made it impossible to hand it to the Duke. Affected saves receive the fragment when you report to the Duke.
-Bosses that were already defeated in an older save but could not be refought are now available for refights after loading the save.
-Fixed being unable to move when a memory scene started after loading a save made near the pit in the Desolate Dungeon.
-The “??? Outerworld Blade” dropped by “???” now stays where it fell if you don’t pick it up, and no longer disappears after you hand over the Red Crystal Fragment.

v1.2.37
Fixed an issue where looping audio stopped prematurely during the final dialogue in the Humanoid Slime HCG. The audio now continues through the end of the scene for a smoother finish.

v1.2.36c
Fixed missing looping audio effects in the Humanoid Slime boss defeat HCG (Archive 22), including during narration and while waiting to advance the dialogue.
Fixed an issue where dying at the same time as defeating a boss could leave the game stuck in slow motion after respawning.
Improved game speed restoration when slow-motion effects overlap with pausing or scene transitions.

v1.2.34
Hi everyone! Thanks for reporting these issues. I’ve fixed inconsistent equipment upgrade bonuses, corrected attack values in the UI, and added clearer item descriptions. This update also brings a few improvements to HCG scene controls.

-Equipment upgrades now consistently grant 6% per level.
Fixed a bug that could cause upgrades to apply either a 4% or 8% bonus. The upgrade multiplier is now fixed at 6% per level.

-Corrected melee and throwing weapon attack values in the UI.
Attack values now use the same scale as damage numbers shown during combat. The UI also correctly accounts for weapon upgrades, relevant melee gem bonuses, the Slime Hammer’s slime bonus, and the Exorcism Cross’s existing 140% attack multiplier. These display corrections do not increase the weapons’ actual damage.

-Added detailed stats to the Soul Casket’s description.
You can now see its duration at the current upgrade level, damage per hit, and attack interval. Each upgrade increases its duration by 6%; damage per hit and attack interval remain unchanged.

-Clarified how Nyamlime Slime strengthens the Slime Hammer.
Each Nyamlime Slime in your inventory already increased the Slime Hammer’s base attack power by 10, but the descriptions didn’t explain this and the UI left out the bonus. Both have been corrected. The bonus applies automatically while you hold the slime, stacks with each additional item, and benefits from weapon upgrades.

-Improved dialogue controls while the HCG UI is hidden.
You can now advance to the next line without bringing the UI back. Pressing another key or button restores the UI, and the control hints have been updated to explain this.

-Added voice language switching during HCG scenes.
While the UI is visible, press your assigned Skill key or button to switch between Japanese and Chinese voices. The current line will replay in the selected language. A new hint on the left side of the control bar shows the current voice language and switching control.

v1.2.29
This update addresses performance issues with certain Adult Pixel Art animations and fixes throwing daggers triggering switches more than once.
Adult Pixel Art Animation Performance
Fixed an issue where the Stone Troll’s H_04 / H_EX animations could cause severe frame rate drops, with reduced performance persisting after switching back to H_00–H_03.
Also optimized the clipping processing used by the Stone Troll and Snake Woman Adult Pixel Art animations to reduce unnecessary processing overhead. These changes apply to:
-The Adult Pixel Art viewer at the Inn.
-Adult Pixel Art animations triggered when caught by these enemies in dungeons.
Performance improvements may vary depending on your hardware and the animation being played.
Throwing Dagger Switch Fix
Fixed an issue where a single throwing dagger could trigger a switch more than once, causing it to turn on and immediately turn off again—or appear not to activate at all.

v1.2.23
Fixed an issue where opening the Quick Equip Wheel near a save statue or NPC could also trigger the interaction menu, causing overlapping menus or preventing further input.
Fixed an issue where controller users could sometimes be unable to close the Quick Equip Wheel. The Menu or Cancel button can now safely close it without applying an unconfirmed selection.
Improved controller stick re-centering after closing the wheel, preventing it from immediately reopening or ignoring the next directional input.

v1.2.19
Improvements
Improved the Plump Bat’s movement. It will no longer get stuck inside floors or walls.
Added a controller option that lets you choose whether Interact shares the same button as Up or uses a separate button.

Bug Fixes
Fixed an incorrect Traditional Chinese character in the Simplified Chinese text for the Bartender side quest.

v1.2.8
*Controller Directional Input Customization
Controller directional inputs can now be remapped, including both the D-Pad and Left Stick.
Interact is now a separate bindable action, with LT as the default binding.
These changes should help reduce accidental inputs and make controller gameplay more comfortable.

*Pixel H Gallery UI Improvement
In the Pixel H Gallery, the currently selected scene is now highlighted in gold instead of white, making it easier to see which item is selected.

*Bug Fixes
Fixed an animation issue in the Treefiend scene in the Pixel H Gallery.

v1.2.3
-Reduced the area in which melee attacks bounce off walls and floors by 40%. Terrain will now interfere with attacks less often, without affecting attack range against enemies.
-Added a clearer weakness hint to the Demon Bear battle. Once the Demon Bear’s HP reaches 3% or lower, the hint will remain visible until the battle ends.
-Buffed the Knight Gem: while shield blocking is available, blockable attacks from any direction will now be blocked 100% of the time.
-Buffed the Counter Gem: damage dealt by all shockwaves generated by the Counter Gem has been increased by 40%.
-Reduced the stamina cost of throwing weapons by 30%, except for the Throwing Dagger, which has been separately adjusted to cost 0.45 stamina.
-Reduced the delay before stamina begins recovering after throwing a weapon or dashing from 2 seconds to 1 second.

Adjusted the Throwing Dagger:
-When thrown, it now redirects toward the nearest living enemy within a certain range in front of the player.
-It will not target enemies behind the player. If no valid target is available, it will continue flying straight ahead.
-Flight speed has been doubled, and a new afterimage effect has been added.
-Base attack power has been reduced by 30%.
-Buffed the Exorcism Cross: its special damage multiplier against Corpses, Corpse Birds, Leeches/Parasites, Necromancers, and Skeleton Warriors has been increased from 200% to 300%.
-Reduced the difficulty of the Necromancer battle on Nightmare difficulty:
-The damage interval of each Corpse Bird feather remaining on the battlefield has been increased from 0.35 seconds to 1 second.
-The Necromancer will no longer cast Corpse Bird Bomb while feathers are still present on the battlefield, preventing excessive feather buildup.

###System Improvements
-After clearing the game, New Game Plus inheritance is now available across all difficulties. On non-Nightmare difficulties, players can choose whether to inherit their equipment and gold. Nightmare difficulty will continue to apply this inheritance automatically. H-Crystals, Monster Encyclopedia entries, and unlocked HCG Gallery progress will continue to carry over regardless of this choice.
-The HCG Gallery will now clearly display an “All HCG Unlocked” status once every HCG has been unlocked.

###Bug Fixes
Fixed the hit detection of the slime orbs summoned by the Slime Hammer’s skill. The orbs will now correctly deal damage based on actual contact with enemies. When continuously touching the same enemy, they can reliably trigger four hits per orbit, resulting in a higher effective attack frequency.
